Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant – Full-Time Role Location: Levenshulme Contract: Full-time, starting after Easter until the end of the academic year Pay: £419.25 - £500 per week Teaching Personnel is seeking a Maths Graduate to join a Good Ofsted-rated secondary school in Levenshulme as a Teaching Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates who are considering a career in teaching or education and want to gain hands-on experience in a school setting. The Role: As a Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teachers to support students in developing their mathematical skills and confidence. This role will involve providing targeted academic support to individuals and small groups, helping to raise attainment levels across different year groups. Key responsibilities include: Supporting students in Maths lessons, reinforcing key concepts, and assisting with classwork. Delivering one-to-one and small-group intervention sessions for students who require additional support in Maths. Assisting teachers with lesson preparation, resource development, and classroom activities. Helping students develop problem-solving skills and mathematical reasoning. Supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) and adapting learning approaches to meet their needs. Providing feedback to teachers on student progress and identifying areas for improvement. Assisting with exam preparation, revision sessions, and study skills development. Encouraging positive engagement with Maths and promoting a growth mindset towards learning. Ensuring safeguarding and well-being policies are followed in line with school guidelines. The Ideal Candidate: We are looking for a Maths Graduate who: Has a degree in Mathematics or a related subject. Is passionate about education and supporting students’ learning. Has strong numeracy skills and the ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly. Is confident, patient, and able to build positive relationships with students. Has experience working with young people in an educational or mentoring capacity (preferred but not essential). Can adapt their approach to meet the needs of different learners.
