Job Overview
The UHD radiology department is seeking a full-time Radiology IT Systems Administrator to provide continuity of radiology-specific IT services. They will be based within the radiology department at Poole hospital and will work alongside the radiology IT systems team, clinical staff, and other professionals within the Trust.
Duties
1. Be a point of contact for a variety of pre-defined problematic situations, exercising the necessary skills to resolve those situations autonomously.
2. Ensure escalation procedures are adhered to whenever problems remain unresolved.
3. Control the electronic transfer of radiology examinations in and out of the Trust.
4. Create and control user accounts for various IT systems.
Applicant Requirements
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties; this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 and will require a submission for Disclosure to the Disclosure and Barring Service.

Experience
* Experience of working in a busy office environment
* Experience of working in a customer-focused team
* Experience and knowledge of using IT systems
Qualifications
* Education to GCSE level including passes in Maths and English (A-C) or equivalent
* Relevant IT qualification (e.g. ECDL) or equivalent knowledge
Interpersonal Skills
* Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
* Able to work independently and manage own workload
* Highly developed keyboard and software application skills
* Working knowledge of standard Microsoft Office applications
Knowledge
* Familiarity with internet/email
