Youth Worker - Cover Supervisor (Full-Time/Part-Time, Temporary)
Location: Yardley, Birmingham
Salary: £417 - £500 per week (dependent on experience, training, or qualifications)
Minimum Requirement: Suitable qualification to teach Cover Supervisor (e.g., PGCE with valid QTS/QTLS)

The School and Role
ABC Teachers are seeking confident and adaptable individuals to work as Cover Supervisors at our client secondary schools in Yardley. This is an excellent opportunity for Youth Workers who are ready to take the next step in their careers and make a positive impact in a school setting. As a Cover Supervisor, you will manage classroom activities in the absence of the teacher, ensuring students remain engaged and focused on their work. Your experience as a Youth Worker will help you build positive relationships with students and maintain a constructive learning environment. Our partner secondary schools in Yardley are well-regarded for their inclusive and supportive approach to education, focusing on academic and personal development.
Requirements
1. Previous experience as a Youth Worker or in a similar role working with young people.
2. Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
3. Confidence to lead and supervise classes across a range of subjects.
4. A genuine desire to make a difference in students' lives.
5. Flexibility and a willingness to adapt to different school environments.
6. Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check, and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship).
*All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
