The Ministry of Justice are seeking a Court Registry Support Officer to join our team in the Christchurch District Court. This is a pivotal role for the Ministry as the responsibilities of Support Officers help the courts operate timely and effectively.
As a Court Registry Support Officer your day will involve engaging with our customers, including Lawyers, Judges, and the public – whether it be over the phone or face to face. You'll work closely with Court Registry Officers and support them while they take Court and manage case files.
You will be supporting the day to day operations of the court by performing the administration function and providing customer service which may include:
* managing incoming and outgoing mail
* supporting the jury service function
* providing support and advice to our diverse customer base
* providing timely and efficient customer service
* supporting Judges and Court Registry Officers both in and out of the courtroom
* supporting jurors for trial hearings
* providing general administrative tasks such as photocopying, scanning, and filing
* managing evidence exhibits
* accounts payable
To be successful in this role you will have proven customer service experience. You will need to be confident, able to multi-task, flexible, and adapt to change with ease. You'll also enjoy a challenge and be motivated to learn.

The remuneration band for this role is $55,343 - $74,416; the appointing salary will be based on skills and experience.
