Network Analyst Location: Head Office Salary: 46,200 per annum Contract: Permanent Hours: 35 hours per week 09.00 17.00, Monday Friday We are looking to recruit a Network Analyst to work within the Network Team to provide implementation, documentation and support of the corporate network infrastructure, security principles, and best practices. Demonstrating routing, switching and LAN and WAN technologies to maintain equipment and provide in depth knowledge and support to staff and teams. Working with third parties by responding to requests for configuration, and resolution of issues, providing troubleshooting and feedback to queries. Understanding users needs to raise change documentation both internally and for external third parties, ensuring changes completed through testing and sign-off. This role will provide an opportunity to build on your existing knowledge and gain practical experience deploying and supporting innovative solutions to support our future IT journey. Key responsibilities are: Assist the IT service desk and provide professional support and guidance to office and remote users as well as supporting the branch network. Support the IT team in providing, supporting and maintaining a stable network platform. Be responsible for reviewing and maintaining access security for all users. Provide technical triage for support incidents, raising and maintaining with third parties where needed, including providing troubleshooting for active incidents. Ensure monitoring platforms healthy, up to date and accurate, raising and progressing incidents where required. Construct change documentation for the change board and third party requests. Assist in design, configuration and implementation of network devices, including Routers, Switches, Firewalls and Security appliances. Maintain asset data, including version control, end of life and support dates for software and hardware. Assist in the implementation and testing of the disaster recovery plan for the Society s systems, in particular on communication and network components. Provide professional day to day support of the corporate network and security products. The skills and experience required are: Experience in implementing and supporting LAN, WLAN and WAN technologies both routing and switching including VLANs, routing, IP Addressing and port configuration is essential. Proficiency of working with Cisco routers and switches essential. Desirable experience of working with Fortinet security products including firewalls. A working knowledge of working with Web and Email security technologies. Ability to deliver excellent customer service and communication skills, with ability to adapt communication so it s understood. Must have a good understanding of segmentation and security including access-lists, zones, subnetting and VPN. A working understanding of SDWAN technologies, previous experience with Fortinet SDWAN is desirable. Must have a good understanding of troubleshooting tools including for example Wireshark. Industry certifications desirable, Network, Cisco, Fortinet etc. Desirable understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems as well as virtualisation (VMWare). What's in it for you?
