Workplace Technologies Support Engineer is a highly visible role that requires commitment to providing a high-quality service to meet customer demand. The role is required to deliver IMAC, iMACD, and Breakfix Incident Management Services. The duties range from small alterations such as patching and fault finding to performing large-scale equipment and device relocations including new installs, decommissions, moves, and maintain functions. WTS Engineers will report to the local Campus Manager/Supervisor and Schedulers. What you’ll be doing as our Workplace Technologies Support Engineer: Manage and deliver mid-size projects Vendor management/escorting Build, Rack and Stack Network and Server hardware in Data Centre and provide connectivity. Monitor the client’s ticket system and ensure tickets are assigned and completed within SLA. Service Now (and other Process and Asset Management Tools) Network Hardware break-fix activities, replacing DIMM, HDD, SSD, Battery, Mother Boards, Network Card, power supplies, modules, fans etc. Availability 24/7 for Escort - Datacentre Break Fix Incident, Task and change, SLA Utilise Cable Management Software as required for patching planning. Troubleshooting Circuit connection, Carry out testing and fault finding on Copper and Fibre Cabling Infrastructure Carry out all types of patching, including all types of voice & data, copper & fibre. Dealing with Fiber ingestion sheet Dealing with Elevation and Patch plans ILO and static IP address config in Servers and Patching Servers Carry out surveys and update drawings and schedules Provide weekly report to the datacentre manager Stock count for cables and optics Shipping / Receiving / RMAs Housekeeping and storage What we’re looking for in our Workplace Technologies Support Engineer: Experience working in banking or corporate IT environment. Experience in Workplace Technology Installations, Moves Adds, Changes and Decommission. Experience in structured cabling installation, fault finding and testing with fluke test equipment. Good MS Office Suite experience (Outlook, Excel, Word etc) Self-starter, organized, detailed-oriented and ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Prioritization skills and multitasking ability. Ability to work under pressure. Thorough knowledge of Asset Management Systems Thorough knowledge of Ticketing Systems Thorough understanding of complex change management and service delivery processes. Ability to mentor and train new starters on all systems, processes and procedures. Ability to approve / sign off training modules.
