Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking a Senior Engineer to join our expanding Vertical Transportation team.
Working as part of a team of specialists, the role will involve designing, developing, and reviewing drawings and submittals on modernization, installation, and maintenance on a full range of Vertical Transportation consultancy services (elevators, escalators, and moving walkways). This professional will adapt and modify design features and operational methods to meet a variety of situations.
What you’ll do!
* Develop vertical transportation design concepts, calculate number, size, and speed of lifts for all types of buildings including high rise.
* Undertake lift traffic analysis, ideally utilizing Elevate.
* Produce reports including conceptual design, scheme design, and preparation of reports at key RIBA design stages of projects.
* Oversee production of drawings and specifications for vertical transportation projects.
* Provide VT engineering expertise on single and multi-disciplinary projects & coordination with engineers of other disciplines.
* Inspect installations and witness testing on site.
* Support the wider activities of the Vertical Transportation team.
* Undertake site surveys and produce resultant reports.
* Attend design team and client meetings as required.
* Understand and implement company Safety Health and Environment Policy.

Qualifications
Ready to push the limits of what’s possible?
Requirements:
* Minimum NVQ4, HNC, or equivalent Lift or appropriate engineering qualification.
* Extensive vertical transportation experience and preferably come from a lift contracting or consulting background.
* A strong analytical knowledge and understanding of engineering principles.
* A desire to work constructively in a team, finding holistic building design solutions in a multidisciplinary environment.
* Advanced knowledge and experience in utilizing design software including passenger traffic analysis software (ELEVATE), CADD, BIM, Revit, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* ER202N certificate ideal.
