About the role CDS is currently looking to expand its account development function. This is an exciting opportunity to join an already super successful team in support of further business growth. The role requires a good level of experience in working in the Communications sector - Insight and user understanding, User-centred Design, Content Strategy and Technology. The role is focused on key account development, with primary customer contact points typically senior management and director level across communications, technology, insight and procurement. CDS senior account managers require a detailed understanding of client s business, their market, challenges, desired outcomes, and aspirations. The senior account manager should therefore understand how CDS, and its capabilities support the client in understanding their users, develop exceptional communications, drive operational efficiency, agility and improved financial performance. The role requires significant interaction with Account Directors, heads of department and operational teams in UCD, content, technology, innovation and data to develop and implement account strategies. The home office location has been defined as the CDS HQ in Leeds, but the role requires the person to travel occasionally to client locations across the UK and wider agency group sites. Responsibilities Quickly become familiar with CDS product and service offerings and the benefits they offer to customers. To become deeply familiar with your assigned accounts objectives, structures, ways of working so you can add value to their business. To provide honest and inspiring advice to customers, current and future, on the services and solutions that would best deliver business outcomes and benefits. Ensure the CDS business delivers the services they have been contracted to deliver to your accounts and to represent the customers points of view in internal meetings. Work closely with the CDS delivery teams to ensure project profitability. Balance achieving the revenue and profitability targets agreed for each account whilst ensuring the team deliver a great service. Work with the wider CDS team to develop, innovate and improve service offerings to better meet the needs of customers current and future. Ensure timely, regular and effective communication between CDS and your clients. Be our primary representative and first point of contact for your accounts and advice/escalation point for operational teams. Be valued as an asset by your clients, as a member of their team as well as ours. Contribute to the production of tender documents, and create proposals, quotes and presentations that meet the requirements of your accounts. Nature of work Own and deliver against annual, quarterly and monthly commercial targets which may include personal attainment against revenue, contribution, service mix, consistency and retention and team targets against quarterly and annual contribution. Liaise with clients to take, challenge and progress briefs across the operational capabilities Content, Creative, Digital, Technology and Data Provide guidance and escalation for clients / account managers working within your vertical and team. Work closely with the wider CDS operational teams to ensure customer satisfaction related to service delivery and support services across CDS clients. Ensure the maintenance and distribution of Management Information on work in progress, through-put and performance throughout your team. To develop higher and wider client relationships within / across your nominated accounts and account group. The nature of the work involves flexibility and innovation to respond to customer needs, often travelling to and from customer sites on a UK Nationwide basis to work with them to develop and agree solutions. In summary, the ideal candidate will possess an inherent drive for results, motivation and acute attention to detail. They can work independently, use their own initiative and cope with complex competing demands.
