Band 5 Rotational Occupational Therapist
Full time - 37.5 hours per week
We are looking for new or experienced band 5 Occupational Therapists who are looking to gain experience in a community environment to embed and learn new skills.
Rotations will last for 6 months and involve the Adult Occupational Therapy Service, Community Neurological Rehabilitation Service, and Home Pathway Rehabilitation Service.
Due to the community nature of this role, being a car driver is essential.
Main duties of the job
As a participant on the band 5 Occupational Therapy rotation scheme, postholders will rotate every 6 months through various community services.
You will be expected to:
* Contribute to the clinical delivery of the service, including patient assessments, designing care and rehabilitation programmes, delivering rehabilitation, and effective discharge planning.
* Work in partnership with acute care and social care.
* Contribute to the development of support staff through training and supervision.
* Maintain and develop own professional expertise as a clinician.
* Ensure adherence to clinical governance, policies, and procedures.
Person specification
Qualifications
* Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy
* Post-Graduate MSc in relevant field.
Registration
* HCPC registration
* Member of RCOT
Experience
* Post graduate experience relevant to the Service
* Experience of working in the community
* Proven experience of assessing service users in a wide range of settings
Skills
* Well-developed interpersonal communication skills
* Able to motivate and persuade service users
* Car Driver with a valid UK licence
