You should have previous experience in working in the role of Court Appointed Deputy and / or Public Authority Deputy, have considerable knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act 2005, Welfare Benefits, Court of Protection legal procedures and regulations and the Public Health Act 1984. You will be carrying a caseload of individual’s who require the support of a Public Authority Deputy and those more complex Appointee cases. You will manage their financial affairs with due care and diligence in their best interests, ensuring receipt of eligible welfare benefits, safeguarding and management of savings and property, payment of living expenses and allocations and disbursement of personal allowances.
