We are currently looking to recruit an Engineering Officer who will be part of the Engineering and Surveying Team. You will be an experienced engineer and will have a key roll, acting as the Councils lean on civil engineering matters such as land drainage and car parks (including multi-storey) Engineering Officer The Engineering Officer will be part of the Councils Engineering and Surveying Team managing the Councils to ensure they are inspected and maintained to a high standard. The role centres around maintaining the Councils diverse assets and ensuring they are kept to a high standard. It will be necessary for you do the following. Inspect and record defects Write up specification for maintenance and capital works Raise orders and manage contractors on site Prepare, authorise and pay as required contractual payment certificates Procure and manage the Councils General Maintenance (Civil Engineering) repairs contract. To provide engineering advice and support to other Service Units as required.
