Protocol Education are seeking an energetic care officer to join a residential primary school in Harlow
Job Type:
This is a full time, permanent position. ASAP start.
Salary:
£22,000 - £23,500 Per annum.
Job Duties:
* Provide care and support to children residing in the residential primary school with Social, Emotional, Mental Health Needs.
* Ensure the physical, emotional, and social well-being of the children.
* Implement and follow care plans and procedures.
* Supervise and engage children in recreational and educational activities.
* Collaborate with teachers and other staff to create a safe and nurturing environment.
* Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress.
Experience:
* Prior experience working with children in a school/care/after school club setting.
Knowledge and Skills:
* Understanding of child development and welfare.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work well in a team.
* Basic computer skills.
* Enthusiastic with a commitment to children with severe behavioural, social, and emotional difficulties.
Working Conditions:
This role involves working with children and may require evening shifts in a residential primary school setting, which may include outdoor activities.
The successful applicant will receive the relevant training and support required to become part of our dedicated and innovative team. Flexibility is required, working shifts between the hours of 07:30 - 21:00, Monday to Friday, term time plus 5 CPD days.
Example Shift:
* Monday: 14:00 - 21:00
* Tuesday: 07:30 - 09:30 / 12:00 - 21:00 with a break included
* Wednesday: 07:30 - 09:30 / 14:30 - 21:00
* Thursday: 07:30 - 09:30 / 14:30 - 21:00
* Friday: 07:30 - 15:00
Salary is based on annualised hours for 52.14 weeks per year.
Visits to the school are positively encouraged.
