Job Title: Electrical Commissioning Engineer
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Commissioning Engineer to deliver the wastewater and sludge treatment process plant.
About the Role:
* Evaluate electrical cable terminations and glanding in the field, producing detailed marked-up as-built electrical drawings.
* Detect and resolve electrical issues through effective fault finding and troubleshooting techniques.
* Test and commission electrical power and ICA control systems, including motors, inverter drives, magnetic flow meters, pressure transducers, level instrumentation, and valve actuators.
* Conduct functionality testing of analogue and digital signals to the PLC and SCADA, as well as initial start-up and wet commissioning of pumps, blowers, gas boosters, sludge screens, mixing pumps, and gas compressors.
* Verify functionality of process plant during Site Acceptance Testing and complete detailed commissioning reports for Take-Over.
* Ensure commissioning activities comply with Electrical Site Safety Rules and Health and Safety regulations.
Requirements:
* Hold a minimum City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 qualification and an ECS (JIB) Gold Card.
* Prior experience supervising electrical installation on capital projects is essential.
* A minimum 4-day qualification in safety (such as IOSH, SSSTS, or SMSTS).
* A strong technical background in Electrical Engineering and experience carrying out Authorised Person (LV) duties.
* The ability to take full responsibility for producing, checking, and completing inspection and test sheets, and other necessary documentation required for Take-Over.
