Horticultural Supervisor (M/F) - France AREA

Assists the Horticultural Director in the organization and supervision of maintenance work in the sector. Works in collaboration with other Horticultural Supervisors to ensure the efficient operation of horticultural work within France Area.

We are looking for an experienced and practical technical person to support our Operations Supervisor in the inspection and carrying out of structural and horticultural maintenance of war graves and memorials throughout South Africa.
To be successful you will be able to demonstrate the ability to solve problems, work as a proactive and positive member of a small team, be a confident and effective traveller and able to carry out a variety of maintenance tasks, to include, but not limited to; fixing headstones, repointing, erecting structures, e.g., fences, retaining walls, refurbishing bronze features and horticultural maintenance.
* A clean driving licence Code (EB, EC or EC1) (Must be able to tow a trailer with GMV greater than 750kg’s) and ability to drive safely
* A current valid passport or the ability to apply for a passport
* A PDP (Public Driver’s Permit)
* High level of written and spoken literacy in English and your first language
* Relevant experience working in a technical position
* Proof of permanent right to work in South Africa Desirable
* A working knowledge of horticultural and structural practices is preferable but not essential as training will be provided

About this Role and You
As our Office Administrator you will be a champion of multitasking, to ensure the smooth running of the Egypt office. You will be responsible for administering the fleet of vehicles including licencing of vehicles, arranging service and repairs ensuring the renewal of car licences in Egypt. This role involves facilitating the day to day running costs and tasks ensuring supplies are purchased in accordance with internal procedures.
Engaging with local stakeholders and local government authorities will be part of your routine, fostering strong relationships to support our mission.
Other key tasks include:
* Assisting with all visitor enquiries and general office duties as required
* Ensuring that Health and Safety packages are delivered in a timely manner
* Responsible for managing car services, repairs and maintenance
* Ensuring that shipments are safely cleared from customs and delivered to sites
* Bookkeeping and Expense Tracking
* Assisting with Microsoft Dynamics GP or similar systems
* Obtaining signatures and payments or arranging receipts to make payments
* Liaising with city councils, social insurance offices, health insurance offices and other government to ensure smooth running of the office
* Acting as a point of contact for Commonwealth Government Embassies, and providing support for ceremonies and remembrance days
* Supervising the attendance sheet for all the employees
* Coordinating any HR and payroll administration
You will be able to demonstrate
* A recognised professional qualification or experience within an office administration environment
* Knowledge of Egyptian payroll processes and labour law
* Experience of Bookkeeping and Expense tracking
* Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics GP or similar systems
* Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office including applications such as Excel, Word and Outlook.
* The ability to use apps and other software in English
* Health and Safety responsibility for self and others
* Excellent language skills; fluency in Arabic and a good command of written and spoken English. French would be an asset
