Job Description
Turner & Townsend is the leading consultancy provider to the Infrastructure sector. Using our skills, processes and knowledge we provide industry leading services to our clients. We are currently looking to recruit a P6 Planners / Planning Engineers with proven Infrastructure ( Rail, airports, roads, power, water, utilities and Defence ) sector experience to be based in our Yorkshire region.
Main Job Purpose
1. Planning Engineers are responsible for all activities associated with the preparation and periodic progress reporting of Level 1 and Level 2 schedules
2. Support the project teams with all planning related responsibilities associated with the management of their contracts and reporting requirements
3. Participates and supports the project teams in project and programme planning and progress meetings
4. Identifies and maintains programme / project milestone and schedule interface activities
Main Challenges Of The Job
5. Support the planning and scheduling processes that are required to manage contracts and contractor schedules
6. Support the programmes progress and reporting requirements
7. Maintains up to date and accurate schedule interface requirements
8. Adherence to NEC contract processes for management of schedule data and submissions
9. Maintain an awareness of commitments and undertakings and support efforts to manage the requirements to avoid breach.
Qualifications
10. Degree qualified in a construction related subject preferred
11. Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, which include schedule development, control, and analysis, in the field and the home office
12. Skilled in oral and written communication
13. Proficiency with PC operating systems, with proficiency in several basic software applications
14. Proficiency with multiple discipline specific software applications such as Primavera (P6) and Microsoft Office Applications, for example
15. Intermediate level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and start-up work processes
16. Knowledge of engineering and construction management
