We are looking for an enthusiastic couple to join our small team at the Skye Camping and Caravanning Club Site as Site Assistants. The site is a franchise of the Camping and Caravanning Club and you would work for us as owners, not the Camping and Caravanning Club. The campsite is surrounded by our working croft in Edinbane which is 15 minutes from Portree, the largest town on the Isle of Skye. The role involves a range of duties, both indoors and outdoors so will suit an active couple used to working in all weather conditions. Experience is not essential as full training will be given.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Reception duties - taking telephone bookings, using the computerised booking system, serving in the shop, and providing local information to guests.
- Welcoming guests on arrival and showing them to their pitch, ensuring correct positioning.
- Keeping the site grounds and facilities block clean and tidy. Our reviews frequently compliment the cleanliness of our facilities block so attention to detail and taking a pride in your work is essential. Carrying out site checks, litter picking and responding to facilities issues.
- Glamping unit changeovers (2 pods without kitchen or en-suite facilities)
- Occasionally you may be asked to cover on-call duties or complete either an early or late toilet check.
- Grass cutting, strimming, painting as required.
- Any other tasks deemed necessary to ensure the smooth running of the site.
The Camping and Caravanning Club is renowned for being the friendly Club and members expect excellent customer service. The ideal candidates will have a passion for the caravanning & camping industry, be enthusiastic, flexible and thrive to provide the best customer service. The ability to work as part of a team is essential, but equally staff will be required to work alone at times and make independent decisions to resolve issues.
an hourly rate of the National Minimum Wage;
- use of a hardstanding pitch with 16 amp electric hook up that is not located on the campsite;
- free use of laundry facilities;
- free site wifi;
- full uniform;
