This Role
Join our rapidly expanding team as a Senior PHP Developer and play a pivotal role in our journey to success!
As a Senior PHP Developer, you will leverage your extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of CakePHP to contribute significantly to the design, development, and maintenance of our mission-critical web applications. Your role will involve collaborating with the team to analyse requirements and devise scalable solutions, ensuring the delivery of high-quality code and exceptional user experiences.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Collaborate with the team to analyse requirements and design efficient and scalable solutions using PHP.
2. Develop and maintain web applications using the CakePHP framework.
3. Write clean, well-structured, and well-documented code to ensure the maintainability and readability of the software.
4. Troubleshoot and debug existing applications to identify and resolve issues promptly.
5. Implement new features and functionality based on project specifications and user requirements.
6. Participate in code reviews to improve code quality and receive constructive feedback.
7. Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior developers.
8. Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals, timelines, and technical requirements.
You’ll excel in this role if you have the following skills & experience:
1. Strong understanding and practical experience with the CakePHP framework (or equivalent i.e. Laravel)
2. Ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, following coding standards and best practices.
3. Hands-on experience with databases, particularly MySQL.
4. Solid understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
5. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
6. Creative and proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to think outside the box.
7. Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in coding and documentation.
8. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively collaborate within a team environment.
9. A strong desire to learn and stay updated with the latest advancements in PHP development.
