Are you an experienced Band 5 or Band 6 Nurse looking to develop your career? We are keen to recruit an experienced Paediatric Nurse who is looking to develop their professional leadership and clinical skills within our amazing team in Children's Services at Colchester Hospital, which has recently been approved as a High Dependency Unit Level 2 Unit.

We are a 20 Bedded Children's Ward with 2 HDU Level 1 Beds and 1 Level 2 bed, caring for patients requiring a number of high dependency interventions including CPAP, BiPAP and Long Term Ventilation.

Responsibilities:
1. To effectively manage and develop the nursing team within the Children's Ward and provide professional and clinical leadership in the delivery of high quality, safe, cost effective care to children, families, and staff.
2. To work with nurses and other identified team members (MDT) on a one to one/group basis and enhance clinical skills and practice across areas where children are cared for.
3. To deputize for the ward/unit manager to ensure appropriate senior cover at all times.
