Job summary We are excited to be advertising for a Specialist CBT Practitioner with a range of skills and experience. There are opportunities available in our Torbay and South Devon Team working with those young people struggling with mood, emotions, and relationships. You will work with our dedicated teams with ongoing training and supervision. The post holder will demonstrate courageous and critical thinking and is a caring, compassionate and committed experienced person who, acting within their professional boundaries, will be responsible for the provision of care to the child/young person and their parents/carers. They will demonstrate safe, competent clinical decision-making and expert care, including assessment, formulation, treatment and evaluation of carein line with NICE guidance, with a specific remit to provide Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) as part of the role. Main duties of the job They will communicate and work collaboratively with the team to meet the needs of children, young people and their parents/carers, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures, and providing leadership as required. The post holder will work as a member of the multi professional team by providing an enhanced clinical role to support children, young people and their parents/carers in receiving high quality specialist treatment, utilising their specific knowledge and skills from a cognitive and behavioural perspective. The post holder will work as part of a multi professional team providing a clinical service that is sensitive to the needs of the population. The team members will provide comprehensive assessment and formulation to inform appropriate person centred evidenced based treatment plans. The post holder will contribute to the continuous development on CBT provision in the service and support the development of others in conjunction with local training and national developments The post holder will use routine outcome measures and a goals based approach, collaboratively with children/young people and parents/carers, in ways that inform treatment, clinical care and discharge as well as draw on their training in routine outcome measures to provide robust support to multi-disciplinary colleagues and the wider service.
