Job Description Job title: Commercial Account Handler Salary: £26,000 to £30,000 DOE Location: Suffolk OVERVIEW We are seeking an experienced Corporate Account Handler to join our client's successful Corporate division in Suffolk. As part of their fast-paced and collaborative team, you will be responsible for ensuring effective servicing of client accounts from a client advisory perspective. Reporting directly to the Operations Director, you will work with experienced Account Executives to provide outstanding service to their clients. RESPONSIBILITIES Create documents for new customers about their insurance requirements. Obtain renewal terms for customers and research suitable alternatives to produce presentations. Coordinate all renewal quotes for existing customers along with any mid-term adjustments to be considered. Ensure all customer details are recorded accurately and entered onto the system in a timely fashion. Manage insurer queries in relation to customer policies, confirm cover with relevant insurers, process policies, and chase up outstanding documentation when required. Secure delivery of policy documentation from insurers and check prior to approval and release. Deal with account queries and credit control matters, highlighting any concerns to account managers in a timely manner. Grasp and apply fundamental legal and regulatory policy for internal policies and the insurance contract as required. QUALIFICATIONS Previous experience working as an Account Handler within the commercial insurance market is essential. Knowledge within cross class risks such as Hospitality & Leisure, Manufacturing, Property, Casualty, Professional Indemnity, D&O, Motor Trade/Fleet is ideal. Prior experience handling corporate clients would be an advantage, however, experience handling SME commercial business is also valued. Holding or working towards one of the Chartered Insurance Institute Qualifications, Cert CII, Dip CII, or ACII would be an advantage. Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent, with an intermediate knowledge of the commercial insurance industry. Eligible to work in the UK. DAY-TO-DAY Your day-to-day activities will involve creating and coordinating insurance documents, managing insurer queries, and ensuring accurate recording of customer details. You will also be responsible for dealing with account queries and credit control matters, as well as applying legal and regulatory policies as required.
