Exciting Opportunity for an Experienced Engineer - Join Our Clients Leading Consulting Team!
Are you a driven and dynamic engineer looking for your next challenge? You will work closely with both corporate and public sector clients, focusing on carbon, energy, and water consultancy services within the commercial buildings and infrastructure space. Key Responsibilities:
* Project Leadership: Direct and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery within budget while providing technical expertise.
* Team Development: Mentor and support junior team members, helping them grow professionally and deliver high-quality projects.
* Client Relationship Management: Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients while building new connections to boost revenue and business opportunities.
* Business Development: Drive new business initiatives through proactive account management and supporting broader business development efforts.
* Proposal & Contract Management: Prepare and quality assure proposals, assist in negotiations, and secure business contracts.
What We're Looking For:
* Qualifications: A degree in Engineering or a related technical field (postgraduate qualifications are a plus). Chartered Engineer status or nearing this level is highly desirable.
* Experience: At least 5 years of experience in energy and carbon reduction within the buildings infrastructure sector, ideally in a consultancy role or delivering similar services within an organisation.
* Proven success in delivering sustainability, process improvement, and cost-efficiency projects from strategy to execution.
* Leadership: Experience managing teams to deliver complex projects, preparing cost proposals, and ensuring quality in all stages of project delivery.
* Energy Management: Expertise in energy audits, developing net zero roadmaps, and managing energy management systems (ISO 50001).
* Key Skills: Familiarity with commercial building energy systems (e.g., HVAC, boilers, refrigeration, heat pumps), BMS/BEMS, renewable energy tech, and policy frameworks like ESOS, CCA, RHI, and FIT.
Additional Requirements:
* Strong data analysis skills (Excel and other specialist software).
* Excellent communication and report writing abilities.
* Ability to lead and facilitate workshops and seminars.
* Driving License: A moderate amount of UK travel will be required.
* Security: UK DBS clearance is necessary.
