Commercial Interior Designer
Location: Colchester, Essex
Salary: Competitive, DOE
Hours: 9:00am – 6:00pm, Full time/Part time | 20 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays

From brand strategy to high-impact visuals, everything we do happens under one roof—websites, CGI, brochures, signage, apps, marketing suites, and more. You’ll be based at our vibrant head office in Colchester—a state-of-the-art hub equipped with a pool table, social spaces, a gym next door, and a friendly, collaborative culture that makes work feel less like work.
What You’ll Be Doing
Reporting directly to the Interior Design Director, you’ll take charge of a diverse range of projects including marketing suites, modular spaces, and communal amenity areas. From concept through to completion, you’ll lead with design thinking, technical know-how, and a keen eye for detail. You’ll be involved in:
* Designing for both CAT A/B fit-outs and the new homes sector
* Creating inspiring conceptual designs, technical drawings, and specifications
* Coordinating FF&E and procurement with style and efficiency
* Managing multiple projects through to handover
* Attending client meetings, site visits, and overseeing projects from start to competition.
* Supporting in-house CGI artists.
* Producing mood boards, material palettes, and pitch documents.
You’ll Need to Bring
* A degree (or equivalent) in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
* 2–4+ years’ experience in a similar design role
* A full, clean UK driving license
* Strong technical skills: AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (illustrator and photoshop)
* Experience with FF&E selection and supplier relationships
* Procurement and budget management capabilities
* Ability to visualise ideas and present them with flair
* Understanding of building regulations
