Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Quality Manager, the successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for the quality control/inspection of all meal products. They will work closely with the technical teams and operations staff to drive product quality, consistency, and document accuracy. Full training will be given for the role.
Main Responsibilities
1. To ensure that all parts of the manufacturing process are under control regarding the production of safe food, as required by current food safety legislation, business SOPs, certificated processes, and customer requirements.
2. To ensure that all checks and controls are recorded correctly as dictated by the Quality Manual as part of the positive release system.
3. To ensure that site hygiene standards are maintained at the correct standard for safe food production.
4. To attend to any tasks as required by the department, or to meet the standards required by the company.
5. To ensure all daily, weekly, and monthly checks such as Product Quality Checks, Metal Detection Checks, Microbiological, Water Analysis, Glass/Perspex Audits, and Good Manufacturing Practice Audits are conducted to predetermined schedules.
6. Support and collate information concerning any action required by enforcement authorities.
