Innovation Manager
Here's what you'll be doing npower Business Solutions (nBS) powered by E.ON is the leading energy supplier in the UK. We serve approximately 60,000 customers and manage around 300,000 meter points in the Industrial and Commercial (I&C) sector.
We have an exciting opportunity for an Innovation Manager to join our team. For this role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, delivery and performance of a class-leading innovation and technology pipeline within the Digital Technology & Change team. You will create compelling and influential cases for the adoption of new technologies, that support enhanced return on investment and deliver meaningful outcomes for our customers. This role is based in Solihull, with hybrid working.
Key responsibilities
Leading the Technology Innovation function for npower Business Solutions, developing and nurturing a pipeline of innovation opportunities that are aligned to our nBS strategy.
Develop and execute a portfolio of innovation projects, from ideation to product, that enable strategic outcomes, enhance customer experiences, improve performance, and deliver competitive advantage to the nBS pillar.
Demonstrate value-add ROI investment cases through experimentation, proof of concept work and prototyping of new technology.
Deliver effective horizon scanning analysis across the utilities and technology industries to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and disruptors in technology.
Define proactive and structured collaboration within I&C, E.ON UK and group stakeholders to understand, build and manage a detailed view of business pain points, potential use-cases and business opportunities.
Responsible for building and leveraging a network of external partners and potential service providers; successfully incubating relationships to access opportunity to leverage innovative technology.
Responsible to communicate and showcase our innovation achievements and learnings, both internally and externally, to enhance our brand reputation and thought leadership.
Owning the governance, frameworks, and processes for I&C Innovation; working with Change Management to build reliable pathways into business change. What we need from you
A proven track record of delivering innovative solutions and outcomes that create value for customers and stakeholders.
A keen innovator in the use of digital and data technologies, with knowledge and expertise at the forefront of the field, a desire to generate ideas and experience in prototyping solutions across multiple platforms.
A strategic and creative mindset, with the ability to think outside the box and challenge the status quo.
