Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Deputy Care Manager to join our team in Pontypool, United Kingdom. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to play a crucial role in the growth and development of our domiciliary care services, ensuring the delivery of outstanding quality care to our clients.
* Work closely with the Registered Manager to coordinate and oversee the day-to-day operations of our domiciliary care services
* Promote and maintain the highest standards of care and service delivery
* Provide leadership, support, and guidance to the care team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
* Assist in the recruitment, training, and development of care staff
* Conduct regular quality assurance visits to ensure client satisfaction and compliance with care standards
* Manage client enquiries, assessments, and care plan development
* Coordinate staffing rotas and ensure efficient allocation of resources
* Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with legal and organisational requirements
* Participate in the continuous improvement of care processes and procedures
* Assist in managing complaints and incidents, conducting investigations when necessary
* Contribute to the development and implementation of key performance indicators
* Participate in an on-call rota as required
* Network within the local community to raise awareness of our services and build strong relationships with stakeholders
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a management role within the health and social care sector, particularly in domiciliary care services
* Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
* Excellent organisational and time management abilities, with keen attention to detail
* In-depth knowledge of UK legislation and regulations governing the provision of care services, including CQC regulations
* Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively
* Flexible approach to work, including willingness to participate in an on-call rota
* Proficiency in IT systems, including Microsoft Office and care management software
* Relevant qualification in health or social care (e.g., NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care or equivalent), or a commitment to obtaining such qualification within an agreed timeframe
* Experience in conducting quality assurance visits and implementing improvements based on findings
* Strong analytical skills for reviewing and enhancing care processes
* Empathetic and customer-focused approach, with a genuine passion for delivering high-quality care
* Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
