Job Reference : SP-AB-CCC1 Closing Date: 4th April 2025 Job Title : Personal Assistant Rate of Pay: £13.55 Hours: 3 hours per week (Dates and times to be discussed and mutually agreed) Location: Llanfairfechan, Conwy Responsible to: You will be directly responsible to your employer (the lady's husband). About the Job: To support a lady with a diagnosis of Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (chronic fatigue syndrome) which is a chronic illness with a range of symptoms which can fluctuate. The lady has mobility issues which results in her using a wheelchair. The aim is to support her around the household whilst being respectful to her independence. Main Tasks: To support with household chores such as bed making, general tidying etc. To socialise with the lady within her home To support with light meal preparations. To go out with the lady for a short walk – this will only be on occasion. To be pro-active and liaise with the lady and your employer regarding potential activities, all to be agreed with both. Give due regard to Health and Safety in all environments. Any other duties which may fall within the scope of this role, to be discussed and mutually agreed. Undertake any further training, as mutually agreed. Personal Specification: Must like dogs. (2 small hypoallergenic dogs - i.e. don't shed, so allergy friendly). Ideally knowledgeable of ME condition or prepared to learn about it. (Engaging with the lady on a bad day is very fatiguing for her.) To establish a professional standard of care, to be maintained at all times. To undertake the role with due regard to the lady's social needs. Be trustworthy and kind. Respect and safeguard the goods and property of the family. Respect the privacy of the family and uphold confidentiality at all times. Be punctual and reliable and have some degree of flexibility. Bear in mind that the role is one of empowerment for the lady. Special Conditions: A Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS) and two satisfactory references are conditional for the post.
