Hours: Monday to Friday, 08.30 - 17.00 (part time may be considered)
Salary Range: £27,857 to £30,570 - depending on experience (Band 4)
Location: Skimped Hill Dental Clinic, Bracknell (consideration will be given to the possibility of being based at one of our other clinics).
We are looking for a skilled Dental Nurse to join our team and provide high-quality dental care. You will be passionate about patient care, have excellent communication skills, and thrive in a dynamic and supportive team environment. In this role, you will gain excellent experience and have the opportunity to treat patients under sedation and general anaesthetic.
You will primarily be based at Skimped Hill in Bracknell with the expectation to work in other clinics/hospitals and in domiciliary settings. It is essential that you either have access to a vehicle for work purposes or can travel to meet service needs.

Main duties of the job
* You will work in a multi-surgery clinic, having support from other colleagues.
* You will assist in the provision of dental care for children with high levels of dental disease and children and adults with additional needs.
* You will have the opportunity to provide care in domiciliary settings.
* With the appropriate training, you will have the opportunity to assist in the provision of care for patients under inhalation sedation.
* You will have the opportunity to assist on general anaesthetic sessions.

Job responsibilities
The must-haves for this role:
* National Certificate for Dental Nurses or NVQ Level 3 in Oral Healthcare or equivalent experience.
* Registration with the GDC.
* It is essential that you either have access to a vehicle for work purposes or can travel to meet service needs.

Person Specification
Education/Qualifications/Training
* National Certificate for Dental Nurses or NVQ Level 3 in Oral Healthcare
* Registered with the General Dental Council
Continuous Professional Development
* Portfolio of evidence of CPD
Previous Experience
* To have worked as part of a dental team, e.g. general practice, hospital, other PDS / CDS providing chair-side duties
* Experience of managing a dental clinic including decontamination, health and safety, management of the clinic diary, and ordering consumables
* Other experiences relevant to CDS such as working with the elderly, children, and patients with special needs
* Experience in assisting clinicians when treating patients under sedation and/or general anaesthesia
