Salary: MPS/UPS: £30,000 - £46,525 per annum
Contract Type: Full-Time
GSL Education are currently recruiting for an English Teacher to work at a Client Secondary School in York, North Yorkshire, starting as soon as possible. This a great opportunity for Teachers looking for a flexible work-life balance, or those simply wanting a new experience.
Teacher of English responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging English Literature and Language lessons.
* To implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant, and differentiated curriculum for students and to support a designated curriculum area as appropriate.
* Liaise with parents, staff, and students, and maintain a good relationship with all parties.
* Manage high levels of student attainment through strong leadership and supervision.
* To continue personal development in the relevant areas including subject knowledge and teaching methods.
Teacher of English Requirements:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a Degree in English .
* Possess the ability to inspire and motivate students to think critically.
* Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Provide a differentiated learning experience that ensures all students make progress.
* Engage students in a manner that will challenge them to grow and learn.
* Have a proven track record of improving attainment levels at GCSE for English Literature and Language.
* Hold an enhanced Child Workforce DBS, registered on the update service, or be willing to obtain one through GSL Education.
