A bit about the role
We deliver the Blues programme to 11–19-year-olds in schools, colleges, and sixth forms across Worcestershire. This is a vital part of our work. We are seeking a motivated Young Person's Practitioner committed to supporting young people's mental health to deliver this service in the Sandwell area. You will be part of a national programme across Action for Children's four nations.
We also run another mental health and wellbeing programme called Bouncing Back, which covers topics like exam stress and resilience. The Blues programme is evidence-based, CBT-influenced, and aims to reduce anxiety and depression among young people through early intervention.
As a Young Practitioner, you'll be:
* Delivering group work to approximately 500 young people annually as part of a team.
* Equipping young people with skills to manage their emotional wellbeing.
* Working in partnership with schools and colleges.
We are looking for someone who has:
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in youth work, family work, childcare, or a related field.
* Experience delivering evidence-based programmes with fidelity.
* Experience working with young people aged 11-19.
* A commitment to supporting young people's mental health.
* Access to a car for travel across the Sandwell area.
