Nene Park Trust is the charity that cares for Nene Park in Peterborough, working to enhance quality of life, health, and wellbeing through our green spaces and venues. Established in 1988, we are dedicated to protecting and enhancing Nene Park and other greenspaces for future generations, managing their landscapes, activities, and commercial spaces to create a welcoming and sustainable place for nature, people, and the community.
Working as part of the Development Team, this role will take the lead on driving an exciting portfolio of projects forward; the most important of which is Lakeside Activity Centre, a landmark initiative and one of the most significant leisure investments in Peterborough in recent years. Other projects include the restoration and re-employment of a very special set of listed farm buildings, the development of education, community and commercial facilities on our farms, redevelopment on some of our commercial sites, delivering infrastructure – and securing projects within new acquisitions.
As Major Projects Manager, you'll collaborate with other senior leaders at the Trust to refine business models, explore and test evolving options, engage with strategic funders to finalise agreements, and be the key liaison with our construction partners as we move into build phases.
This role will encompass a variety of tasks including but not limited to the following:
* Lead the support for multiple projects, including fundraising, procurement, reporting, site supervision. Business case development and evaluation.
* Collaborate with colleagues, partners and professionals to ensure the projects successfully completed in a timely way and within budget.
* Apply a structured and professional project management approach to delivering the large projects.
In addition, the ideal candidate will naturally demonstrate the following characteristics:
* Effective persuading, communicating and interpersonal skills
* Ability to distil complex information and drive forward actions
* Demonstrate accurate, methodical and organised ways of working
This is a full time, permanent role based at our head office in Ferry Meadows, Peterborough, with the opportunity for hybrid working(minimum 2 days per week in the office).
