Protocol Education are currently recruiting teaching assistant with experience working in the care sector who are looking to make the transition to the education sector to work with special needs students. This post 16 college are looking for experienced, passionate and caring learning support assistants to start immediately or from after Easter. This particular school caters for students of all aged from 18 - 25yrs old with varying levels of special needs that include visual/hearing impairments, autism, physical disabilities and complex needs. As an education support worker you will be working in a set class of 6 – 8 students, supporting students on one-to-one basis, promoting a positive learning experience, assisting with sensory integration, working alongside designated care plans, and supporting students within the community and in lessons such as music, art, dance, and outdoor activities such as the sensory garden.
The role:
* Full time role – Monday to Thursday
* Yearlong contract with the option of extending
