About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join our vibrant and supportive team at a leading school in Exeter. We are seeking an enthusiastic educator who can inspire students to develop practical skills, understand the importance of nutrition, and gain confidence in food preparation. The role involves teaching food technology to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, and ideally, contributing to other aspects of Design & Technology as required.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, deliver, and assess engaging food technology lessons that foster practical skills and culinary creativity.
Develop and adapt curriculum resources to meet diverse student needs and abilities.
Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to thrive.
Work collaboratively with other members of the Design & Technology department to enhance the school's curriculum.
Ensure health, safety, and hygiene standards are maintained in the food technology classroom.
About You:
Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Food Technology or related field.
Experience: Previous experience teaching food technology at secondary level is highly desirable.
Skills: Strong subject knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for inspiring students in the culinary arts.
