Job Position: Primary HLTA
Start Date: After Easter 2025
Location: Wigan
Teaching Personnel are currently looking for a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant for primary schools in the Wigan area. This position will begin after the Easter Holiday, with the opportunity to go permanent in September. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to implement individualised learning plans for students who require additional support.
The ideal candidate will:
* Hold HLTA status / Meet the HLTA standards
* Hold a Child Workforce DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
* Be able to cover planned absences on behalf of class teachers
* Be enthusiastic and have a hands-on approach to helping pupils achieve their goals
* Be able to fulfil the role of a Teaching Assistant as well as higher level tasks such as PPA Cover, Small group tuition, and 1:1 support
