Take a closer look at the role: Job description: We have an opportunity for an Inventory Accountant to join the Team at the new Silverstone Facility. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and controlling inventory. The successful applicant will have a strong understanding of inventory accounting principles, experience with inventory tracking systems, and the ability to work collaboratively with the finance and operations teams. Principal Accountabilities: Design and implement the inventory process across the UK organisation of both internally manufactured and externally manufactured parts. Manage the inventory accounting process, including tracking and recording inventory transactions. Perform regular inventory reconciliations and ensure accuracy of inventory records. Analyse inventory variations and investigate any discrepancies. Prepare inventory reports and provide analysis to management. Collaborate with the operations team to ensure accurate inventory levels and effective inventory management. Work closely with procurement team to ensure proper valuation and costing of inventory. Ensure compliance with inventory control processes and procedures. Support month-end and year-end close processes as related to inventory. Assist with providing documentation and support for external auditors. Support in the preparation of the Formula One® Financial Regulations Inventory data. Coordinate physical inventory counts and audits. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy of inventory management. Requirements ACA/ACCA Qualified. Experience with standard costing. Strong understanding of inventory accounting principles and procedures. Experience with inventory management software and systems. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting tools. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with cross-functional teams. Strong organisational and time management skills. Experience in Formula One® is preferred but not required.
