Our client is looking for a dedicated, open-minded, easygoing, friendly personal care assistant to join his team. The role is for 20hrs a week: 10am to 8pm on a Wednesday and Saturday to work in the Portslade, Brighton area. Our client lives independently in his own home with his partner. He is young at heart and loves music and is a DJ so it is vital that you have a passion for music too. Our client wants to be more active than he already is. He enjoys going to the park and the beach and is looking for support to be able to go to more events so you will need to be sociable, fit and healthy to get him around. Our client is wheelchair bound but it doesn't stop him from living the best life he can. You will most definitely need a good sense of humour, he can be quite sarcastic at times so you need to not easily take offense. He invites you to come and have a laugh with them As a member of our clients caring team, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks that can vary by the day so an amount of flexibility is required. Some of the main duties include: Administration of medication Moving and handling Assisting our client in the community Administrative duties Cooking and cleaning Assisting our client to get to and from appointments To ensure his holistic wellbeing is supported at all times, as needed This list is not exhaustive.
