An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen for a job share as an Operational Services Manager within Knowsley Community Nursing Services in Merseycare.
The post holder will be job sharing with the existing experienced operational services manager to cover a full working week, Mon - Fri.
As a key member of the Senior Management Team, the post holder will be expected to contribute to the overall success of operational services delivery in their area which meets the trusts objectives and targets.
The successful candidate will have professional registration and will provide leadership and support to the Community Care Divisional Senior Management Team in the delivery of an effective and efficient operational services structure meeting the trust's strategic objectives.
The post holder will be responsible for the management of an allocation of community nursing services, ensuring effective utilisation and distribution of resources across all areas.
Key to this role will be the delegated responsibility for budgetary management, quality and performance management, and providing advice and feedback to the Senior Management Team on service-specific issues.
This is an ideal post for either an experienced manager or for someone looking to develop their leadership and management skills.
Main duties of the job
1. Support the Clinical Services Manager in the effective management and deployment of operational services across the community division.
2. Ensure that a consistent approach to the delivery of high-quality effective services is taken, underpinned by standardised processes and protocols.
3. Provide leadership and support to the Community Divisional Senior Management Team in the delivery of an effective and efficient operational services structure.
4. Manage the operational teams ensuring effective utilisation and distribution of resources across all areas.
5. Take responsibility for budgetary management, quality and performance management, and provide advice and feedback to the Senior Management Team on service-specific issues.
6. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements in terms of data quality, national and local Key Performance Indicators.
7. Lead on the recruitment of staff to ensure appropriate staffing levels across the service.
8. Contribute to the compliance of data quality, ensuring systems are in place to monitor and improve data quality.
9. Represent the Community Division at internal and external meetings as appropriate.
10. Carry out investigations into incidents or complaints received by the Division or Trust as required.
Person Specification
Qualifications and Training
* Appropriate professional qualification at degree level or equivalent level of experience as Registered Nurse/AHP/Social Worker where appropriate.
* Master's degree or evidence of working towards.
Experience Knowledge and Skills
* Minimum of 3 years senior management experience in a large complex organisation.
* Experience of leadership and management of complex change management programmes.
* Good understanding of workforce development.
* Experience in a caregiving setting.
Skills
* Ability to analyse and implement financial reports and data.
* Analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Proven skills in effectively chairing meetings.
* Excellent listening and negotiation skills.
