Are you an RVN who is ambitious about developing your clinical skills and wants to work in a clinic where these skills will be valued? Are you a nurse who likes to work short daily shifts for a salary between £28,000-£32,000 per year? If so, please read on because we might have the perfect maternity cover role for you About us Our practice based near Belfast exists to build a happy and skilled veterinary team that does good work for good people. We work hard every day to help advise our clients about what is in the best interest of their pets so they can make informed choices and give them the best chance of living a life free from pain and disease. The Clinic has been established for 6 years and you would be joining the practice at an exciting time as we have a new leadership team in place that are determined to drive the practice forward over the next 6 years to make the clinic one of the happiest places to work in Northern Ireland through leadership, education, and a focus on staff wellbeing. About The Role We are acutely aware that the job of an RVN is stressful enough without being asked to do too much. We are a practice that focuses very much on quality over quantity and are insistent that our nurses get enough time to use their skills and look after their patients properly. We would much rather do three procedures thoroughly each day than five of them in a rush We are looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our practice to cover maternity leave from April 2024 for 12 months. We don’t do our own OOH and are only open until midday on Saturdays ensuring that everyone in the team can take advantage of the work/life balance that we all value so much. The Salary range for this role for the right candidate is between £28,000- £32,000 for full-time; however, a part-time or job share role can certainly be considered. About you As a nurse, you’ll have developed a love of helping people to proactively look after their pets. You will be capable of advising owners on what is best for their animals, even if that initial conversation can be a little uncomfortable. It is equally important that you have become comfortable discussing costs and going through estimates with owners because we have wonderful clients who want to do the best for their pets, provided they know what the cost is beforehand. As a teammate, you’ll know that the best thing about day-to-day work life is the people you have around you, and we have some great people for you to work with. Above all else, your cultural fit for our team is the most important, skills and experience come second. To that note, we aren’t a clinic that works well with big egos that must get their way but have spent time building a group that feels comfortable speaking up when something isn’t right. Other Benefits A generous benefits package is also available including: Contributory pension scheme Generous CPD allowance and plenty of support- we run quarterly training days with external training provided plus you will have your own CPD allowance. Death in service 4 x annual salary Paid memberships Exclusive company discounts & rewards We are based in a nearby town center, with easy commuting options to Belfast by car or bus.
