We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the development of children in their early years. As an Early Years Educator, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experiences of children aged 18months-5 years.
Duties
• Develop and implement engaging educational programmes that cater to the individual needs of each child.
• Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where children can thrive.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, colleagues and outside services to build strong relationships and ensure the best outcomes for children.
• Manage daily activities within the nursery setting, ensuring that all health and safety regulations are adhered to.
• Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and adapting learning experiences accordingly.
• Collaborate with other educators and staff to create a cohesive learning experience across all areas of the nursery.
• Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism and commitment to continuous improvement in early years education.
Qualifications
• A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is essential, preferred Level 3 but would consider Level 2 with the right experience
• Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential
• Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with children and families.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and motivate others within the team.
• A proactive attitude with a drive to enhance children's learning experiences through innovative practices.
• Knowledge of child development theories and best practices in early years education is advantageous.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
• Experience supporting children with a range of Special educational needs and disabilities
• Experience in completing essential paperwork such as Learning journeys, report writing, IEP writing, EHCP writing is preferred
• Experience in working with external services to support the child and family
Working hours are to be confirmed but will be between 7.30am-3.15pm
