You will be responsible for managing and delivering Tesco's agricultural strategy across the produce sector, whilst developing a broader focus on land management. With a focus of exceptional delivery for customers on what matters, engaging teams and colleagues, with the needs of the business. You will be responsible for: Supporting the development and driving the delivery of the long term sustainability strategy for Tesco produce supply chains, ensuring they are sustainable and resilient. Working with colleagues, suppliers and producers to help them better understand and meet customer expectations on environmental and farming best practice. Working as part of the Sustainable Agriculture team, sharing learnings across our function and taking ownership of cross-cutting elements and projects within our strategy e.g. low carbon fertiliser project, pesticide strategy and soil health Working closely with Tesco technical and commercial teams alongside farmers and suppliers to understand and address industry issues which could negatively impact on customer expectations and affect long term sustainability. Providing Tesco with land management expertise and driving continuous improvement, innovation and collaboration in Tesco produce supply chains.
