We are looking to recruit a self-motivated and committed Dietitian to join our friendly and proactive department.
We have an opportunity to join our Team as a Band 6 Dietitian, and provide a comprehensive nutrition and dietetics service in surgery and intensive care. This position is part of an expanding team with the opportunity to help shape the future of the service.

Main duties of the job
1. To provide specialist dietetic support to patients within the acute setting, working closely with the MDT providing specialist advice.
2. To make assessments using a variety of sources of information and to provide results of assessment in verbal and written formats.
3. To maintain a holistic approach to patient care and involving relatives, carers and appropriate care agencies whenever possible in the treatment plans and programmes.
4. To be an integral member of the dietetic team working to ensure optimal nutritional care for patients as a key determinant of recovery and outcome.
5. Participation in training and education, including supporting students and Dietetic Assistant Practitioners.

Qualifications
* 4 year BSc degree in Nutrition & Dietetics or equivalent
* HCPC registered
* Evidence of on-going professional development (CPD)
* BDA membership
Experience
* Working as part of a team
* Experience with Parental Nutrition
* Knowledge of and experience in working with different cultures and religious beliefs
* Experience in critical care and surgery
Skills
* Communication, interpersonal; and organisational skills
* Able to work safely and effectively without direct supervision
* Able to plan workload and supervise assistants and students
Additional Information
The ability to converse easily and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for all customer-facing roles. Most positions require a Disclosure and Barring check and will be exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Posts working regularly or unsupervised with children or vulnerable adults require an enhanced check.
