Job Overview: The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for overseeing the financial and contractual aspects of a luxury new build and refurbishment project. With at least 3 years of experience in similar high-end projects, the successful candidate will manage costs, budgets, procurement, and contractual agreements to ensure the project is completed to the highest standards. This is a permanent opportunity with long-term prospects for career development. Key Responsibilities: Manage and monitor the financial performance of the luxury new build and refurbishment project. Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts. Conduct regular site visits to assess the progress of the project, control costs, and identify any potential risks. Report regularly to senior management on project costs and budget adherence. Oversee procurement processes, including tendering and negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors. Ensure compliance with all legal and company requirements through the management of subcontractor contracts. Advise on cost-saving opportunities, value engineering, and design adjustments to optimize project efficiency. Collaborate closely with project managers and site teams to ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Manage cost-related disputes, claims, and risk management strategies. Keep precise and up-to-date records of all financial transactions and project documentation. Qualifications and Skills: A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry, ideally with luxury residential or listed building projects. Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost management practices. Proven ability to manage large-scale projects, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and procurement. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Quantity Surveying software and Microsoft Office applications. Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
