Business Development Manager - South East Asia

We are currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager to join our expanding team.
As the Business Development Manager – Southeast Asia, you'll be managing regional partners and working with end users to ensure overall account satisfaction and growth over time. You will be responsible for customer satisfaction levels, striving to exceed expectations and nurture long-term relationships with South Asia region customers for Sepura.
You will also assist the Business Development Manager – Asia in developing new markets and verticals and ensuring existing market verticals are expanded to new users.

Your Role:
You'll be managing the day-to-day activities of Sepura in Southeast Asia. Responsible for working with the existing Sepura partners in territories where we are already successful and pursuing new opportunities with new partners in countries and markets that are new to Sepura. You will use your experience gained either in the Telecommunications or IT Industry and your network of contacts to expand the addressable customer base for Sepura Products.
With a background in sales with Government Customers, large regional Systems Integrators, and Oil and Gas markets, you'll drive and manage sales through existing or new partners. You require skills in project management, strategic planning, and the ability to analyze and identify trends within the account. You will need good selling skills as well as the ability to convert opportunities you uncover into ongoing revenue. You will be a critical thinker looking at how to position Sepura’s products into different verticals. You'll speak Bahasa Malaysia/Indonesia while also being fluent in English. Being able to speak Thai and/or Chinese will be an advantage. Working closely with the existing Business Development Manager and Sales Engineers, you will develop a strategy to address key clients across the assigned territory.
Your Day to Day:
Our customer base includes many different industries and markets around the world. Our complete TETRA and LTE solutions have been developed specifically for users in multiple sectors to face their critical communications challenges.
There is no such thing as a typical day here at Sepura. You will be supported by your manager and team, as well as collaborating with other departments across the business.
Business development activities you will be responsible for include:
* Relationship-building that goes beyond the initial connection or sales pursuit. You need to continue cultivating and expanding the relationship by consistently delivering on commitments, nurturing the relationship over time, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
* Create comprehensive account plans involving mapping the key players within the account, understanding the business priorities of the organization, assessing potential opportunities, exploring expansion possibilities across different departments, and determining how to grow the account over time.
* Identify new partners that will have a positive impact on Sepura's revenues in the region.
* Increase recurring revenue and build new renewals revenue on the accounts in Southeast Asia.
* Respond to tenders and requests for information from partners and end users.
* Manage channel conflict to ensure margins are protected and the value of Sepura products is clear to end users.
* Engage with key stakeholders in new verticals and sectors to promote Sepura products and increase the overall market share of Sepura in the critical communications market in Southeast Asia.
* Plan trade shows and conference speaker slots to promote Sepura and the technology direction that Sepura is driving.
* Willingness to work evenings on an ad hoc basis to engage with Sepura’s Headquarters in Cambridge, UK.
This job involves extensive travelling so the successful applicant will have a full, clean driving licence and their own car. Travel expenses will be reimbursed. It is anticipated that around 50% of the time will be spent travelling regionally in Southeast Asia with some overseas travel to the UK.

Qualifications:
* Degree in Business management or similar industry experience.
Experience and Skills:
* Proven track record in managing sales accounts on both government and commercial in LMR or telecommunications environment with at least 5 years’ experience.
* High level customer engagement skills. Able to reach out to all seniority levels in organizations.
* Proven ability to engage in the end user environment with diverse customer needs.
* Ability to present to high-level management on sales strategies and initiatives.
* Outgoing and approachable manner.
* Available for local and international travel.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation capabilities.
* Exceptional communication skills.
* Confident public speaker and presenter.
* Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia/Indonesia and English.
Nice to have:
* Speaking Thai and/or Chinese is an advantage.
