About the Organisation:
Public Health Scotland launched 1st April 2020 as a national health board, employing around 1200 people, and with an annual budget of around £101 million.
Our vision is for a Scotland where everybody thrives. Focusing on prevention and early intervention, we aim to increase healthy life expectancy and reduce premature mortality by responding to the wider determinants that impact on people’s health and wellbeing. To do this, we use data, intelligence and a place-based approach to lead and deliver Scotland’s public health priorities.
Our values include respect, collaboration, innovation, excellence and integrity and are at the heart of our work. As Scotland’s national public health body, we lead and support work across Scotland to prevent disease, prolong healthy life and promote health and wellbeing.
Public Health Scotland encourages applications from people from all backgrounds and aim to have a workforce that represents the population of Scotland that we serve. We champion diversity, inclusion and wellbeing and aim to create a workplace where everyone feels valued.
