About the Role
At JLB, we're seeking an experienced Matchday Safety Coordinator to join our team in West Yorkshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional to work closely with our Matchday Safety & Security team, reporting directly to the Head of Matchday Safety & Security.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing matchday documents, setting up systems for stewards, and line managing the matchday Stewarding and Security teams. They will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with national legislation and SGSA guidelines throughout matches and events.
Key Responsibilities
* Matchday Documentation: Preparation of necessary documents and steward sign-in/departure systems.
* Team Management: Line management of Stewarding and Security teams.
* Event Planning: Planning, implementation, and monitoring of matches and events to ensure compliance with national legislation and SGSA guidelines.
* Operational Review: Reviewing and updating operations manuals, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
* A minimum of NVQ Level 4 in Crowd Safety Management.
* Relevant Experience: Minimum 2 years experience as a Safety Officer or Deputy Safety Officer in a sports ground setting, preferably at a large football stadium.
* Initiative and Problem-Solving: Initiative to identify and act on opportunities, coupled with a working knowledge of the SGSA Green Guide.
