Roles and Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a small team of CompEx-certified electricians, providing mentorship and technical support.
Oversee and actively participate in the design, selection, installation, and maintenance of electrical equipment in explosive atmospheres.
Take a hands-on approach to installation and complex maintenance work, ensuring compliance with DSEAR/ATEX regulations.
Ensure strict compliance with ATEX, DSEAR, and SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) regulations.
Conduct site inspections, assess potential risks, and implement corrective actions to maintain compliance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, clients, and regulatory bodies to ensure best practices and regulatory adherence.
Drive a culture of continuous improvement, optimising operational efficiency and safety procedures.Requirements
CompEx certification is essential.
Strong expertise in DSEAR and ATEX regulations, including hazardous area classification and risk assessments.
Proven experience in chemical production or similar industries involving explosive atmospheres.
Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role, managing teams in hazardous environments.
Knowledge of SHEQ standards.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.25921/611
