Our Finance Apprenticeship Scheme is a unique opportunity to understand different aspects of finance and how they all interact with the wider business across the Council. You’ll enjoy generous study support; with the time and space you need to complete your qualifications. Plus, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to put your learning into practice.
You’ll be mentored and guided by your finance manager and our local training provider who will empower you to grow and develop. Working independently and as part of a team, you’ll learn how to excel in high pressured environments. You will be working in a flexible and diverse environment.

What you’ll be doing
As an Apprentice you’ll be working in our Capital and Treasury Team within the Civic Centre Enfield. You’ll learn how Treasury and Finance works within a Council. You’ll support the Treasury team on the daily dealing, banking and other relevant tasks as well as off the job training.
You’ll complete our Council Induction and study for the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT). Alongside this, you’ll gain valuable knowledge and experience.

Salary: £22,430
Day Release to training provider:: Hertford Regional College (Broxbourne Campus)
Length: Up to 21 months
Entry: Requirements:: Candidates must have achieved a full AAT Level 2 Accounting Certificate. 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4 or higher, (must include English and Mathematics at grade 4 or higher).
Start date:: Applicants must be available to start from August 2025
