Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure that outputs for Fabricated PVC, HDPE Fuze, and MecFlow product ranges are met or exceeded in line with agreed production standards.
* Ensure the workload is organised and distributed to all team members in accordance with the production plan.
* Ensure that the correct component parts are available in the required quantities in readiness for the start of fabrication orders to avoid production delays.
* Ensure that production output and any other relevant data is captured and recorded to enable monitoring of departmental performance.
* Chair Daily Management meetings where there is a focus on achievement of agreed KPI’s, including trend analysis and correct actions/countermeasures.
* Ensure the fabrication team work in a safe and responsible manner and that the team are briefed in and follow all agreed Safe Systems of Work. Ensure that any near misses and incidents are reported.
* Ensure fabricated items are completed in time to meet customer wanted dates.
* Ensure the development of the team’s skills and competencies through PDR’s, training, and one-to-one coaching.
* Assist, support, and encourage company and departmental initiatives.
* Ensure that the Fabrication team sustain high levels of housekeeping and workplace organisation where 6S has been used to determine the standard required.
* Effective handling of personnel requirements relating to attendance (Zeus / Absence), inductions, conflicts, training, check-ins, and performance.
* Completion of Alcumus incident investigation.
Person Specification:
* Must be a strong focused leader.
* Working fabrication experience – (an advantage).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Good organisational and time management skills.
* Ability to organise, lead, and motivate a team.
* Ability and willingness to undertake relevant performance management processes e.g. 1:1s, work group meetings, PDRs.
* Ability to work under own initiative.
* Willing, pro-active, and positive approach to learning and development; including attendance at relevant in-house training sessions.
* Dependable, dedicated, and consistent.
* Good knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
