Our client is hiring for an External Sales Account Manager to join them and take over two of their biggest and most profitable accounts! This is a client focused role, with two days (typically) meeting your south based clients with one day based in the Hungerford based HQ.

You will be joining the already established Team, reporting to the Account Director. It's a supportive environment, with a keen emphasis on working together, with peer to peer learning and coaching playing a key part in not only your induction, but throughout your role. This role will suit someone who has experience of successfully nurturing client relationships and has a desire to make their own mark and drive business success.
What will you be doing?
The role of External Sales Account Manager is all about working with our clients customers to understand how you can leverage their brand and other brands that they support into customers – this means spending time with the customers, collaborating with vendors and building sales plans that maximise our opportunities. Join our client, and you’ll be the spokesperson within their key reseller accounts. Here is a snapshot of what you will be responsible for:
* Utilising your experience of face-to-face Account Management within the IT industry; your mission is to create opportunities to progress and develop your accounts - which in turn will create opportunities for your own career and development.
* You will build & maintain exceptional relationships with key stakeholders within the existing customer base.
* Mentor and support your allocated internal Account Manager.
* Utilise a variety of tools to maximise relationships, including teams of face to face meetings.
* Managing pipeline and forecasting.
* Complete administrative tasks such as responding to emails, processing orders and managing pricing.
* Proactively develop industry knowledge, tracking new trends and products in the market by attending sales training, vendor training, researching and self-study.
* Embrace learning opportunities & coaching sessions - sharing your knowledge and experience, adding value within the wider team where possible.
What we need from you....A bit about you….
Ideally the successful candidate will have the following attributes, skills, experience, and qualifications:
* Experience of face-to-face Account Management, ideally within the IT industry.
* If you haven't worked with the IT industry then you will have AM experience working within reseller/distributor channels.
* You thrive in a fast, multi-tasking environment!
* You are a natural relationship builder, you understand people and can develop strong relationships across a variety of stakeholders.
* You love working under pressure, this is when you deliver your best work!
* It goes without saying…. But we will say it anyway - you have an eye for attention to detail and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Must be able to reliably commute to Hungerford 1 day per week.
* You are authentic and humble in your approach; with a hunger to learn!
