LIBRARY MANAGER (PART TIME)
Hours of work: 22.5 Hours per week (worked across three days)
Working pattern: Part-time, Term-time only
Fixed term for: TBC

Salary: £25,183 - £25,584 pro-rata. Actual Salary - £13,230 - £13,441
Term time - 39 weeks per year

We are looking to appoint a highly motivated and committed Library Manager to work alongside our current Library Manager. The Library Manager will manage and promote pupil literacy and learning and the use of the Primary and Secondary Library by the school community across both phases.

The job role consists of:
* Managing a library based system.
* Researching and sourcing information on bestsellers/best buys and making decisions on suitable reading material.
* Managing bookings for the Secondary Library.
* Responsible for library stock maintenance and control.
* Attending relevant meetings and liaising with professional groups to ensure maximum use is made.
* Organising Library events and trips e.g. World Book Week, Author visits, and Open Evening Library Event, Pupil Book Groups, Southern Book Awards and other literary themed events.
* Supporting pupil learning by running small reading groups and lunchtime and afternoon school clubs.
* Managing the learning environment - arranging displays, accessible resources, ensuring the Libraries are tidy and welcoming.
