Alison Owens at SWIFT Temps Ltd Engineering Recruitment Division is currently recruiting on behalf of our client in Bradford, for a Press Brake Operator- Permanent Position.
Skills Required
1. Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
2. Press brake DNC experience is desired.
3. Strong knowledge of press brake operations and techniques.
4. Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges - Skilled in fabricating metal parts according to specifications.
5. Familiarity with hand tools commonly used in metalworking.
6. Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work - Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Duties
1. Set up and operate press brake machines to bend, form, and shape metal sheets according to specifications.
2. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine machine setup and tooling requirements.
3. Select appropriate tooling and install it onto the machine.
4. Measure and inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to ensure they meet quality standards.
5. Make adjustments to machine settings as needed to achieve desired results.
6. Monitor machine operation to detect any issues or malfunctions.
7. Perform routine maintenance on press brake machines, such as cleaning and lubricating parts.
8. Assemble fabricated metal parts using hand tools and other equipment.
9. Operate overhead cranes or hoists to move heavy materials or equipment.
Benefits

Pay Rate
£16.70 per hour. Overtime is paid after 39 hours have been worked.
Hours of Work
39 per week: Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 3:30pm, Friday 7:30am to 2:30pm.
